I seem to have discovered a bug in xterm [or possibly in Sun's pty driver] while viewing an LJ comment in morse code.
$ xterm -v
$ uname -srv
SunOS 5.9 Generic_112233-06
What I did:
  1. start vi
  2. press `i' to enter insert mode
  3. select the 714-character Morse code message in Mozilla and paste into the vi session.
What happened: two lines of characters appeared, the cursor disappeared, and the terminal became completely unresponsive to the keyboard (and wouldn't accept a WM_DELETE message either, though it responded to other X events).

How exciting.

Update: the bug is not in xterm, but in Solaris 9's X server.
