Spam spam spam spam

Good heavens. I just went to my GoogleMail account, which I pretty much only ever use for testing and haven't given out to anyone, and there were 493 messages in the spam folder and five spams in my inbox. I think GoogleMail only keeps messages in the spam folder for about a month, but I can't see where it says that. It usually takes about 14 days to trap about that many spams to my real email address (at one point I was getting over 500 per day).

And it seems the stock-market scammers and fake pharmacists have found my @lj email address so I'm now getting tons of those forwarded to me from LiveJournal. Is nothing sacred?
